Welcome Back, Hope Family!

💙🌟 Back to School Social: A Joyful Start to the Year!🌟💙

A little rain couldn’t dampen our spirits! Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Back to School Social - what a wonderful way to kick off the new school year.

Even with Mother Nature’s surprise showers pausing the bouncy castle and lawn games, the heart of the event never wavered. Our Hope Academy family showed up with smiles, energy, and plenty of laughter. We enjoyed delicious snacks, danced to great music, and spent time reconnecting as a community. 🎵✨

Moments like these remind us how strong, supportive, and joyful our school family truly is. Here’s to an amazing year ahead filled with growth, connection, and countless reasons to celebrate. 💙🌈

🤖💙 Youth Empowerment Symposium: Innovation in Action!

Our Grade 7 and 8 students proudly represented Hope Academy at this year’s Youth Empowerment Symposium, diving into hands‑on workshops focused on AI and Robotics. It was an inspiring day designed to elevate innovation, spark curiosity, and empower young minds to think boldly about the future. 💻🤖✨

Students had the opportunity to learn from passionate experts within our community and collaborate with peers from schools across the island. The energy was high, the ideas were flowing, and our learners embraced every moment with enthusiasm and teamwork.

Events like this remind us how powerful it is when education, creativity, and community come together. We’re incredibly proud of our students for stepping up, asking big questions, and exploring the technologies shaping tomorrow. 😁🌟

Here’s to more opportunities that ignite innovation and empower our young leaders.

PRIMARY MUSIC

🥁🎶 Grade 3 Starts the Year with Rhythm and Djembes!

Our Grade 3 students are kicking off the school year with energy and creativity in Music! They’ve begun exploring note values and rhythmic patterns, laying the foundation for confident music reading and performance.

The best part? They’re bringing those rhythms to life on their djembes. From steady quarter-note beats to playful combinations of eighth notes, students are practicing how different note values work together while developing coordination, teamwork, and a strong musical pulse. The room has been full of focused playing, big smiles, and those joyful “aha!” moments that make learning music so rewarding. 🎵💙

We can’t wait to see how their rhythmic skills grow as they continue drumming, moving, and making music throughout the term. More musical milestones are on the way from these budding percussionists!

GRADE 12 RETREAT

🌟 Grade 12 Senior Retreat: Starting Strong, Leading Boldly🌟

Our Grade 12 seniors stepped into their final year with purpose and positivity as they gathered for their first Senior Retreat. It was a meaningful day designed to help them connect, reflect, and set the tone for the journey ahead.

From team‑building challenges and inspiring guest speakers to thoughtful goal‑setting sessions and plenty of laughter, the retreat offered students the chance to pause and think about who they want to be as leaders both in school and beyond. The sense of unity, maturity, and excitement was unmistakable.

Moments like these remind us how special senior year truly is. We’re proud of our students for embracing the experience with open hearts and strong intentions.

Here’s to making every moment count and shaping a year filled with growth, leadership, and unforgettable memories. 🌟✨

VERTICAL LEARNING

💡💻 Coding Magic Begins: Micro:bit STEM Launch!

Our students kicked off their first Micro:bit coding session with Mr. Ryan, and the excitement was real. From the moment they powered up their devices, curiosity took over, and the room buzzed with creativity.

Students explored digital sensors, experimented with code, and programmed their very first interactive outputs. With every challenge, every tiny breakthrough, and every “aha!” moment, they stepped further into the world of innovation. Watching them collaborate, problem‑solve, and cheer each other on is exactly what STEM is all about.

This is just the beginning. Here’s to a year filled with discovery, creativity, and coding magic. 🔧✨

SPORTS WEAR CIVVY DAY

🏃‍♀️ Sports Wear Civvy Day: Celebrating Healthy Bodies and Minds 🧠

This past Thursday, September 25, Hope Academy was bursting with energy and team spirit as our Student Council hosted Sports Wear Civvy Day in honor of Healthy Bodies and Minds Month. Students swapped their uniforms for jerseys, tracksuits, and sporty gear, bringing vibrant color and movement to Hope Academy.

Beyond the fun, this day carried a meaningful purpose. Each student was invited to contribute a $2 donation, with all proceeds supporting the National Drug Council. It was a powerful reminder that wellness is not just about physical activity, but also about making positive choices and supporting the health of our wider community.

Thank you to everyone who participated and donated; you made this day a true win for body, mind, and heart!
