Student Council
Hope Academy’s Student Council is a dedicated group of high school students committed to representing our peers and improving our school community. Student Council members aim to foster a positive and passionate school community. Our mission is to promote leadership, service, and school pride by creating opportunities for students to discover, connect, and create. Through collaboration with staff and administration, Student Council works to enhance the overall student experience.
Throughout the year, Student Council hosts a variety of initiatives, including monthly Civvy Days that raise funds for local organizations, school-wide competitions that stimulate creativity, and the planning of assemblies and celebrations. From organizing our annual ‘5 Days of a Hopeful Xmas’ and coordinating themed monthly campaigns to leading spirit weeks and community-building activities, Student Council strives to make our school a welcoming, vibrant place where every student feels valued and involved.

Robotics Program
Designing. Building. Innovating.
The Hope Academy Robotics Program provides students with exciting opportunities to explore engineering, coding, design thinking, and problem-solving through hands-on learning experiences. Working individually and collaboratively, students design, build, and program robots while developing creativity, resilience, and critical thinking skills.
Through the VEX IQ Robotics platform, students engage in authentic engineering challenges that require them to test ideas, analyze results, and continually improve their designs. Along the way, they strengthen valuable skills in communication, teamwork, and project management while applying concepts from science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
Interschool Competition
Students have the opportunity to represent Hope Academy in the VEX IQ Interschool Robotics Competitions, where they collaborate with teammates and compete against other schools in a series of exciting robotics challenges. These events encourage innovation, strategic thinking, and gracious professionalism while allowing students to showcase their technical skills and creativity.
Participating in robotics competitions helps students build confidence, develop leadership skills, and experience the excitement of applying classroom learning to real-world challenges.
"Inspiring the next generation of innovators, engineers, and problem-solvers through creativity, collaboration, and technology."
