Graduation Requirements 

Hope Academy offers a High School Diploma program to students following the Florida State 
curriculum guidelines and graduation criteria. The Florida State Standard High School 
Diploma is earned by completing a minimum of 24 credits over the course of four years. A 
Foreign Language credit is not required, although it is recommended for college preparation 
and is required for admission to US state universities. 

One credit is earned for courses meeting three days per week for the full school year 
(approximately 135 hours). Half a credit is earned for courses meeting two days per week 
for the full school year (approximately 80 hours). 

Credit must be earned in selected areas as outlined in the chart below.
